A Luxury Master Retreat

Interior designer Angie Palmer created a luxury master retreat in shades of blue and teal combined with dark rich woods and textures. Angie’s team replaced the flooring with LVP, repaired and eventually replaced the window shadings and topped it all off with luxurious custom bedding. The sitting area compliments the bedroom and provides ample area for relaxation.

Project Overview:

Our client’s home was originally designed by famed celebrity designer, Michael Henry, over 20 years ago. The look and feel of it was all his own and they never really felt like it reflected them. The color scheme and design elements were dark and heavy and they longed for a sense of calm, light, and openness throughout the entire home. Angie recognized the value of the furnishings and fixtures and brought in an auction house and art expert to determine the current market values and almost everything was sold.

We created a luxury retreat in shades of blue and teal combined with dark rich woods. The bedroom’s colors and fabrics give it an opulent feel along with tonal area rugs, also used in the adjacent sitting room, to pull the colors together in both rooms. We created spaces for reading, watching television, or inviting the grandkids to join them for a cozy movie night. In the sitting area we added an under TV cabinet for storage of books and throws, and upgraded the gentleman’s recliner with power in a beautiful cream leather.
